3.8 pounds lost in 5 days!!!!!

Wooo Hooo!!!

After obsessively checking my doorstep for a big box from A.C.T., I was finally rewarded on Tuesday afternoon! I now have my own supply of Body Trim, and I have samples to hand out to anyone who is interested in trying the product!

Last Sunday, Mother's Day, my husband told me to go join the gym. I did, for a whole year, paid in full! So now I need to make SURE that I go faithfully, because not only will I be mad at myself for not going, but he will probably never get me a nice gift again if I don't use this one! I went on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Saturday, and today (Sunday).

I have been taking the BodyTrim since Wednesday. Twice a day. Ummmm, can I just say that I have now begun to look forward to drinking it? I love how it makes me feel!!! First of all, I am a COFFEE GIRL (in caps). I NEED my caffeine boost in the morning, and continual shots throughout the day just to make it through.

The first 2 days I was on BodyTrim, I didn't even have any coffee. None. Not at all. I didn't need my caffeine boost, because I had abundant energy from drinking my Body Trim! Wow! I seriously cannot remember a day that I have not had a cup of coffee. Seriously.

I have had a couple of cups since then, but not because I'm dragging, but because I just like the taste of my java.

Another thing. I have WAY more energy and motivation. I am cleaning things around my house that I have not been cleaned in far too long!

To recap, I have been drinking Body Trim for 5 days now. And I have gone to the gym 5 times. And I got on the scale and lost 3.8 pounds! YAY ME!!

OK, it's official....

I purchased my Silver #4 Pack last night. What this means, is that I officially have my own business! Well, I have the tools to build my business anyway.

I didn't sleep very well last night. I kept waking up and thinking of all of the things that I needed to write in my blog. So I hope that I remember all, or at least most, of my middle-of-the-night-brainstorming-session!

One thing that I really want to accomplish with this blog is to share my whole experience of building my Drink A.C.T. business. I want to share the challenges and how I work through them. I'm hoping that my readers (when I have some!) who are interested in starting their own business can learn through me. I want to post great accomplishments, but also every day challenges and frustrations.

Drink A.C.T. has quite a few really wonderful products. There is something for everyone! There is an energy drink, energy shots, Vitalagy, Body Trim drink and shots, and a new product coming out soon Sip of Sunshine which sounds awesome. The best part is that all of the products are all-natural with no additives or caffeine, so you can feel good about drinking it. Oh-and the price is cheaper than any that you can find in a store. Doesn't get any better than that!

I have been wanting to try a work at home business ever since my daughter was born, almost 5 years ago. I have looked into a lot of avenues. There was the whole medical transcription fiasco. I ended up paying $500 and basically got a couple of cds. I never followed through with it, and it was a complete waste of money. Not good.

Then there was Melaleuca. Now actually, I think that the products are GREAT. I love the all-natural concept. I am a true hippie-at heart. I loved using the products at home. However, they are EXPENSIVE! And you have to buy a lot a month. Way more than you ever use. So while the product worked for me, the business did not.

Moving on to Mary Kay. Went to a couple of makeover parties. Liked the product. What girl doesn't like make-up, right? Bought into the business. Got a crap -load of products delivered to my house. Colors that I could never use myself--they were intended for my customers. However, I discovered that I am really not a party-person. Don't get me wrong. I love a good social get-together! But hosting party after party where I talk about the same make-up over and over.....not me. So now I have boxes of Mary Kay make-up packed away in my attic. Can't bring myself to throw them away yet. Seriously, that's like throwing money in the garbage. Ugh.

So by now, my husband thinks the whole work at home business idea is a total scam. All of them. Oh, and I've had another child, a son, so now I REALLY want to find something that I can do to earn money while being able to stay home with my kids. Not congruent.

Fast forward to a few months ago. My daughter is enrolled in a Preschool program. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday I wait in the hallway with all the other moms (and a few dads) for our kids to be released. There is this really cool mom there. She has a blond edgy-adorable hairstyle. It's always done up. Her make-up is flawless (and honestly, I don't think it's Mary Kay). She is always smiling this beautiful, friendly smile, and she is FULL of energy!

One day I hear her talking to another tired, worn-out looking mom (kinda like me) about how she has lost 37 pounds and feels great. She tells this other mom that she's drinking A.C.T.

I go home and mull this over. What the heck is A.C.T.? I decide that the next time I see her I'm going to put my shy tendencies aside and ask. So I did. She tells me all about Drink A.C.T. and the products. She tells me about how great she feels drinking this all-natural weight loss drink that gives her energy and mental clarity AND has enabled her to lose almost 40 pounds!

And THEN, she also says that she's earning an income by promoting it, and letting other people in on this great product and its potential!! Holy crap! This is an actual person that I know, and see at least three times a week who is suceeding with her own business! And losing weight and feeling great!

I knew that I wanted to drink A.C.T. right away. I also knew that I really still wanted to have an at-home business that actually worked. But I wasn't ready to put myself out there after all of the failures yet.

But now I am. I have known Becky (the cool, edgy blond) for about 6 months. She has become my friend. I can talk to her for hours. She is real. And her business is still growing. It is time for me to get in on the action. And it's time to prove my husband wrong!!

Very First Post!

I'm jumping on the blogging bandwagon! I love to read other people's blogs, and hopefully I will find some people who like to read mine! I can't promise to be always funny and super creative, but I will try.

There are two purposes of this blog:
  • A personal journal about creating my own business and a way to promote it
  • A personal journal of my weight loss attempt using Drink A.C.T.

I will also try to add some snippets from my day-to-day life as a mother to a 4-year old girl and a 1-year-old boy.

Can't wait to get started!!!!
